How does renting work?

  1. Pick the device you want on Gazelle Flex
  2. Add the device to the cart
  3. Follow the step to checkout and finalize your order by paying the first month and the one-time initiation fee of $49.99.
  4. The device will be shipped to you, and you will be paying each month while enjoying your new tech
  5. After the end of the 12-month Rental Contract Term, you can either:
    • Continue to pay month-to-month
    • Upgrade to a new device
    • Cancel your Rental Contract Term

Will I own the device at the end of my rental agreement?

No, the device will remain the property of Gazelle throughout the entirety of the Rental Contract Term.

Can I cancel my rental agreement?

You have the freedom to cancel and return your product within thirty (30) days from when you ordered it.
If you decide to cancel after those initial thirty days but still during your Rental Contract Term, there's an early cancellation fee equal to 50% of your monthly Rental Contract Term cost, multiplied by the number of months remaining on your Rental Contract Term.
If you decide to cancel after the end of the Rental Contract Term, there will be no early cancellation fee charge. Gazelle covers return shipping fees for the product regardless of when you cancel.
Please note: You must prepare the rental phone for return by performing a factory reset and turning off “Find My iPhone”.

What is the rental renewal process?

After the end of your initial Rental Contract Term, your contract rolls over to a month-to-month term so you can continue enjoying your device seamlessly

What conditions are Gazelle Flex products in?

Gazelle Flex rents “Gazelle Certified” devices. All are pre-owned devices that go through a rigorous inspection process involving a 30-point functional and cosmetic inspection.

The screens of these devices are in very good condition. There may be light scuffs or nicks that do not affect the functionality of the phone.

When does my rental agreement begin and end?

The first monthly rental payment is charged when ordering. Then your 11 other payments are scheduled on a monthly basis, starting three days after you receive an email notifying you that your product is on its way.

Example:
If you ordered on September 12 and your product was shipped on September 14, the second payment is due on October 17.
The third payment will be charged on November 17 and etc.
After your last Rental Contract Term payment (August 17), you can keep renting on a monthly basis for the same price until you decide to cancel your Rental Contract Term by returning your device. Returning your device back to is free.

How do I return my phone at the end of my rental agreement?

First you will need to cancel your Rental Contract Term. To do so, you will need to login to "My Account", locate your rental order under “Transaction History” and click on “View Rental", then select "Cancel Rental" and follow the steps to confirm the cancellation.
Then you will receive an email with the directions on how to create a free return shipping label. You must return the Product to Gazelle within fourteen (14) days of initiating your cancellation or you will be charged a replacement fee equal to the current fair market value of the product.
Please ensure that you for prepare the device prior to shipping it out by turning off “Find My iPhone”. This can be done by going into your Settings App and tapping on your Apple ID. Locate “Find My”, and toggle to “Off”.

The device I received is faulty. How can I return my device?

You have the freedom to cancel and return your product within thirty (30) days from when you ordered it.Please take photographs of your shipping box, and take a photograph of your device.Please hold onto your order and all its packing material. Our agents will want to know your Order Number, Name, Phone Number, and the photographs of your package and device.
Please ensure that you have performed a factory reset and have turned off "Find My iPhone" on the device.
If it has been past thirty (30) days of your order date, please contact Customer Support here for assistance.

What is the $49.99 initiation fee and why do you charge it?

At Gazelle, we collect tens of thousands of devices each week, and only the absolute best make it into our Flex program. The Initiation Fee allows us to employ trained inspectors who review every single iPhone, rigorously conducting a 30-point audit of its quality and features before clearing and categorizing only a small handful for rental. Every device is also supported by our dedicated customer support team, who are available to answer your questions and address your concerns whatever they might be.
If for any reason you decide that you do not want to keep your phone within the first 30 days of your rental agreement, your Initiation Fee will be returned to you.
